AMP Chennai Job Fair Report 2026

On January 24, 2026, the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) and the Human Guidance and Welfare Centre (HGWC) hosted a successful Mega Job Fair at YMCA Ground in Royapettah, Chennai. The event attracted 75 companies offering over 8,500 job vacancies, leading to 1,928 interviews and the selection of 662 candidates. Janab Syed Faheem Sahab, Chapter Head Chennai, emphasized AMP's role in boosting confidence among job seekers and providers in Tamil Nadu. The fair marked the third in Royapettah and the sixth in Chennai, showcasing AMP's commitment to enhancing employment opportunities. Key figures from AMP, including Mr. Imtiaz Saiyed and Mr. Shahid Haider, highlighted the event's meticulous planning and the importance of partnerships in achieving its success. The fair not only provided immediate job placements but also reinforced AMP's ongoing dedication to community development through skill development and employment facilitation.

662 candidates shortlisted and selected in mega Job Fair in Chennai

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), in collaboration with the Human Guidance and Welfare Centre (HGWC), successfully organised a Mega Job Fair on 24 January 2026 at the YMCA Ground, Royapettah, Chennai, generating significant employment opportunities for local youth.

The event witnessed strong participation from the corporate sector, with 75 reputed companies representing diverse industries and offering 8,500+ vacancies. A total of 1,928 interviews were conducted during the job fair, resulting in 662 candidates being shortlisted and selected, demonstrating the effectiveness of the initiative in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers.

Speaking on the occasion, Janab Syed Faheem Sahab, Chapter Head – Chennai, stated: “AMP has instilled confidence in Tamil Nadu—both among job seekers and job providers—that whenever society faces a need, AMP will step forward and extend its support.” He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the EAC leadership team, including Shahid Haider,  Imtiyaz Syed, and Shahrukh Ahmed for their commitment and hard work.

Mr. Imtiaz Saiyed, Secretary – Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), AMP, said: “The Chennai Job Fair was meticulously planned and efficiently executed, delivering meaningful value to both job seekers and participating HR teams.”

Mr. Shahid Haider, Project Head – AMP Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), highlighted the consistency and growing impact of AMP’s employment initiatives in the region: “This was the third job fair organised in Royapettah and the sixth in Chennai. Our partnership with HGWC played a crucial role in the success of this event. The strong enthusiasm shown by candidates encourages us to organise more such job fairs to support youth employment and contribute to nation building.”

The event witnessed a large turnout of enthusiastic job seekers, including fresh graduates and early-career professionals. Many candidates were shortlisted on the spot for further interviews and placements, making the job fair a significant milestone in Chennai’s employment ecosystem.
